What it is
SaveThisIG lets you download publicly accessible Instagram media. Paste a link to a public reel, post, story, highlight or live replay, and the page shows you a preview with the download options in their original size.
The problem it solves
Instagram does not provide an obvious way to save media to your own device. SaveThisIG fills that gap with a single public link, no account required, so you can keep a copy of content you have permission to save.
How it works
You paste an Instagram link. Our server checks that it is a supported, publicly accessible URL and asks a server-side extraction provider for the media metadata. When found, the media is shown inline at its native resolution and streamed to you through a short-lived, signed download link.
What is supported
Publicly accessible reels, videos, photos, carousels, stories, highlights and live replays. If a link is publicly viewable, we can typically extract it.
What is not supported
Private accounts, password-protected content, and anything behind access controls. We cannot and will not retrieve private content. Links to content that has been removed or is otherwise unavailable will fail clearly rather than returning a substitute.
Privacy and security
We only process the public link you paste. We never ask for your Instagram password, and we do not bypass private accounts or access controls. Downloads are proxied through our servers against an allow-list of Instagram content hosts, and every download link expires after a short time. See our privacy policy for details.
